Modplan-e is a pv planning tool which should make easier the subdivision and choice of the modules on a roof or a surface to the planner of solar modules.
The planning of the modules on a surface goes very simply. First a surface is defined. Then the necessary free surfaces on which no solar modules can lie are defined perhaps.
Now one can be selected from a self-defined amount in potential modules. Now modplan-e determines the at most possible number of modules on the surface.
